Kaltiot Smart Tracker service on computer

Remote monitoring and measurement as a service

Kaltiot Smart Tracker is an easy-to-use, scalable IoT service for remote monitoring of site conditions, asset usage and object location. It's ideal for when you need more data to fill gaps in your existing monitoring.

The service includes devices, wireless data transfer, reporting, maintenance and Finland-based customer support. You can add or remove sensors and track more or less data points as needed.

What can you track?

  • Temperature
  • Humidity
  • Atmospheric pressure
  • Acceleration
  • Vibration
  • Snow/water depth
  • Carbon dioxide
  • TVOC
  • Fine particulate matter count
  • Utilization rate
  • Last location
  • Occupancy

Wireless devices that can be installed almost anywhere mean the service is completely system-independent. It can be set up on any site in addition to any existing monitoring technology that is being used.

Our service and wireless devices are especially well suited for monitoring outdoor areas, tracking moving assets within and between areas, and usage in frequently changing work environments such as a construction site.

Industrial sites
Yards and building exteriors
Parks and outdoor recreation areas
Areas without a power supply

Usage rate monitoring

With utilization rate monitoring, you get more visibility into how much your assets are actually used. Easy-to-install IoT devices allow you to monitor the usage of almost any large mobile or fixed equipment.

Equipment usage and possible deviations are detected through changes in vibration and/or acceleration. Facility usage can be monitored with a variety of occupancy sensors and door sensors.

Steel plant IoT tracking

Visibility into a steel plant's processes by tracking steel ladles

Kaltiot and Sapotech developed a monitoring solution together which was used to gain visibility into a Scandinavian steel plant's processes.

Fleet management IoT

What is fleet management? – equipment tracking 101

Fleet management means optimising the life cycle of an organization's movable assets.

Logistiikka 2022 trade fair

Kaltiot will be at the 2022 Logistics trade fair in Tampere

The most significant event in the logistics industry in Finland, Logistiikka, will be held 14.–15. September 2022.

Outdoor gym IoT Helsinki

Tracking usage of outdoor gyms with IOT technology in Helsinki

In 2021, the city of Helsinki had nearly 1300 different outdoor fitness devices available for residents.

Construction site monitoring

Continuous sensing vs. manual metering of temperature and humidity in construction

Properly selected tools for managing and monitoring site conditions are key to efficiency and quality.

Pakettipiste Smart Tracker

Pakettipiste chose Kaltiot Smart Tracker

Pakettipiste has chosen the Kaltiot Smart Tracker service for monitoring cargo transport conditions in their delivery vans.

Condition monitoring

Condition monitoring means remotely monitoring the temperature, humidity, CO2 concentration and other parameters of construction sites, production facilities or properties. You can detect where ventilation needs to be improved, air conditioning increased or heating reduced.

Cargo transport conditions can also be monitored either in real time or at checkpoints in the transport chain.

Tracking moving objects

IoT asset tracking

You can see when the tracked asset was last detected, where it was last seen, and whether it's currently in use or not. Location tracking is great for managing tools and movable equipment.

Employees and visitors can also be monitored to improve safety in factories and other restricted areas. Employee tracking can be implemented anonymously.

Sensors

IoT sensors and BLE beacons

We offer a wide range of remotely readable sensors on the market. We provide you with a device suitable for your use case, pre-configured and connected to the Smart Tracker service.

How to get started

  1. Definition of needs

    Together we define:

    • What or who will be monitored?
    • Where will the monitoring take place?
    • What data should be collected?
    • How frequently do data points need to be collected?
    • How many assets, facilities or people will be tracked?
    • Who will monitor the collected data?
  2. Offer

We make you an offer for the service based on the definition of needs we've created. You can simply accept the offer to create a contract between us.

You can start with just a few sensors to ensure the solution actually meets your needs.

  3. Delivery

We pre-configure the devices according to specification and deliver them to you. We prepare reports and create user accounts for you.

  4. Deployment

We hold user training where we explain devices, reports and device management tools. If the offer includes installation, we will plan our installation schedule. We're here to support you throughout the entire process.
